Commission passes Athens Eviction Prevention Program!

The Athens-Clarke County Mayor & Commission passed an ordinance initiating the Athens Eviction Prevention Program. This program will help Athens residents facing eviction stay in their homes by negotiating and paying settlements to landlords. The program is slated to begin in January 2022.

Resources for Tenants & Landlords – COVID-19

On March 31, the Athens-Clarke County Mayor & Commission unanimously passed a resolution drafted by Commissioners Mariah Parker & Tim Denson focused on rent & mortgage relief for Athens residents.
